Tractor Driver's License

The training for Category T/M does not have any special regulations according to the law, but since you will be operating in traffic on equal terms with other motor vehicles, my training includes the following:

  • At least 29 theory lessons in the classroom together with car learners.
  • 2-3 lessons on specific aspects related to tractors.
  • 1-2 lessons in solo tractor driving where I sit with you inside the tractor.
  • 1-2 lessons in tractor driving with a trailer where I sit with you inside the tractor.
  • 2-5 lessons in tractor driving with a trailer where I drive behind you in a car and direct you via walkie-talkie.

You can take the driving test for a tractor at the age of 16. You must also complete a Traffic-Related First Aid course offered in the driving school (read more under Links). You will need a medical certificate as well.

However, the number of lessons required for each learner depends on their individual circumstances and abilities before they can take the practical driving test.

Additionally, you need to take a Traffic-Related First Aid course, which we also offer - first aid course.
